Product overview

The 6 kW AG 1 ½” heating element serves as an electric auxiliary or emergency heater for buffer tanks, domestic hot water tanks, and solar storage tanks. Thanks to its integrated insulation, it reliably protects enamelled tanks from corrosion. Its high-quality construction allows for continuous operation and provides consistent heat output.

Material and corrosion protection

The heating element is made of Incoloy 825 (material 2.4858), which ensures excellent resistance to aggressive media and high temperatures. The electrical insulation eliminates the risk of electrolytic corrosion, significantly increasing the service life of the heating cartridge.

The brass screw head and the robust ABS plastic housing complete the high-quality construction and offer maximum protection in the installation environment.

Adjustable temperature control

The continuously adjustable thermostat allows for precise adjustment of the operating temperature between 30 and 75 °C. Additional safety is provided by the integrated safety temperature limiter (STB), which is permanently programmed to 98 °C and automatically shuts off in case of overheating.

Application areas

Ideal for use as a primary or backup heating system in heating systems with buffer tanks, for hygienic hot water preparation in domestic hot water storage tanks, and as an auxiliary heating system in solar thermal storage tanks. Compatible with enamelled steel storage tanks and other water-bearing containers with a 1 ½" male thread connection.

The heating cartridge is designed for continuous operation and meets high safety standards. Its IP54 protection rating ensures reliable protection against dust and splashing water. Combined with proper installation in the control cabinet and regular inspections, this guarantees a long service life and safe operation.
